About Us |
|
Tom and I moved to Minnesota in 1997 from Michigan. At the time, we had sled dogs and were training and participating in sprint races. We thought Minnesota would have winters more conducive to the sport of sled dogs. We, were wrong. We did find that we were in upland bird country and decided to add a bird dog to the family of 50+ sled dogs and 3 Siberian Huskies. We found our German Wirehaired Pointer; a very determined little girl that we named Kit. Sherry is consumed with learning everything health related, including genetics, nutrition and many health promoting modalities. Although we do not breed often, we do breed dogs that meet the breed standards as GWP’s first and foremost. Because the goal is to create beautiful GWP’s that do their function, Sherry does exhibit the dogs we own in confirmation shows. Though, these are not show dogs. They are GWP’s—pure and simple. Tom is the field trainer in this team. He’s trained with George Hickox and utilizes George’s techniques in the field.
